We saw most so-called "electrolyte drinks" were:
- Crammed with damaging sugar or other junk like dyes, maltodextrin, or fillers
- Skimping on electrolytes (usually 5% or less of what you need)
And those who weren't, were:
- Only focused on sodium - missing out on a myriad of benefits we wanted, while creating possible health issues.
- Using unproven ingredients - like "himalayan pink salt" which besides it's known humanitarian issues does not have scientific backing for most claims made about it, and in fact has been shown to have serious concerns.
If you spend all day in a gym, you might be able to get away with those sugary drinks masquerading as "sports drinks".
If you spend all day in the kitchen, you might be able to balance out those drinks focusing only on sodium.
But we wanted something for the rest of us – with careers that require us to be at the top of our game all day and an after-work life we want to be brimming with activities we actually love.

Good morning from Caraicou in Grenada! I bought these for my sailing vacation. I really like them much better than a similar product line. I am not a stevia fan but the sweetness of this brand is more palatable than the competition. Also the saltiness is a bit less which I like better. I purchased the variety pack and am enjoying all the flavors. I will continue to purchase. There is definitely a great improvement with my hydration with electrolytes and it has been a process finding the right brand for me. I really appreciate the powdered electrolytes industry making it more fun drinking beverages … especially still water!
I really like the flavor of this lemon lime twist. I like it even better than the previous citrus flavor. It’s a winner!

I'm a long time user of another electrolyte mix that contains Maltodextrin and I found it addictive and felt like I needed sugar - so I started the search for one without it.
After lots of research, I decided to try SALTT and WOWZA is this stuff yummy! It's so smooth and adds so much flavor to my morning coffee and the best part, after a week I no longer have the sugar cravings that I did with the other product.
You may not have the same reaction to maltodextrin that I do, but if you do - change your electrolyte to SALTT!

How many packets should I use in a day?
Start with one, and see how you feel! If you’re especially active, or if it’s particularly hot outside, you’re likely to benefit from an additional serving or two.
Why do I need electrolytes if I’m not an athlete?
Recent research is showing that we need far more electrolytes than we’ve been told. And the benefits of balanced electrolytes are not limited just to extreme sports enthusiasts and marathon runners. The growing list of those benefits includes improved mood, energy, mental clarity, muscle health (especially relief from muscle cramps!), and more.
What is in the “Natural Flavors” used in SALTT?
In short: We do not use “Natural Flavors” or “Artificial Flavors” to hide ingredients in our products (like maltodextrin or sugar), We strongly believe in being honest and open about what is in our products and wish all companies would take it as seriously as we do.
Also in short: food manufacturers may not know the specific aromatics that make a flavor, but they absolutely know what is used to make the liquid aromatics into a powder and that is usually maltodextrin, though we use acacia gum fiber instead.
Is SALTT Powder Drink Mix Kosher?
Yes, all the flavors are certified Kosher Parve (non-dairy) by The Scroll K/Vaad Hakashrus of Denver. The certification came *after* much of the packaging was already printed so you may not see the K symbol on the product you receive.
