Q. For those who don’t know you yet, can you share a little about yourself and how you first got into skateboarding?
First got into skateboarding through my mom’s friend’s son. He showed me a skateboard for the first time when I was 5 years old and I’ve been obsessed with it ever since.
Q. Where did you grow up, and what was the skate scene like there?
I grew up in Sandy, UT. Growing up, the Salt Lake skate scene was popping! There were a lot of people skating at a high level, which gave me a lot of good inspiration and good energy to feed off of.
Q. How has skateboarding shaped the way you look at life outside of skating?
Skateboarding has shaped my life in every way possible. From work ethic and determination, to gaining other perspectives on life through traveling and meeting so many different people.
It’s given me so many things to be grateful for, and taught me how to really persevere through hard times.
Q. Who were your biggest influences or inspirations coming up in the skate world?
When I was really young my first big inspiration was Ryan Sheckler. I related to him being a young kid also, and he was doing what I wanted to achieve.
After I got a little older, some of my other favorite skaters were Collin Provost, Andrew Reynolds, Dylan Rieder, and many other guys.
Q. How would you describe your skate style in three words?
That’s a hard one to answer myself.
I just do my best to do what I do the right way, and to make sure it looks and feels the best to me.
Q. What’s been your favorite project, part, or trip you’ve been a part of so far?
Each project and trip holds its own place for sure, and are special in different ways.
But I think my favorite part so far has been my turning pro part. I put in a lot of work and time into that one, and the result of me getting my first pro board after was a dream come true.
Q. Do you have any dream spots or cities you’re still hoping to skate?
Still need to make it to Australia!
Q. What’s your go-to SALTT flavor when you’re out skating?
Either Mondo Melon or Blue Slushies.
Q. How do hydration and recovery play into your skate sessions or filming days?
Hydration and recovery plays a huge role in my skating! Especially when you have to skate hard back to back days on trips or at contests.
Doing the simple things go a really long way when it comes to keeping the body feeling good. Hydration being at the top of that list!
Q. What do you like to do when you’re not skating?
I like snowboarding, golfing, thrifting, spending time with my family and friends, and walking my dog.
Q. What’s something about you people might not expect?
My toes are webbed on my left foot!
Q. Skateboarding is such a community-driven culture, what does being part of that mean to you?
I think one of the most important things in life is having a purpose, and through the culture of skateboarding I found that at a young age and I’m super grateful for that.
Q. If you could only bring three things on a skate trip, what would they be?
Skateboards, clothes, SALTT packets!
Q. If SALTT made a flavor inspired by you, what would it be called?
I'd make an açaí flavor, cause açaí bowls are my favorite thing.
